This two-day training course aims to provide course attendees with an overview of the 1D modelling techniques available within Flood Modeller. It also familiarises attendees with the various tools and features available within the software.

This course is presented from a practical point of view by expert modellers and is delivered through a series of presentations, hands-on practicals and open discussion sessions.

Each training course can accommodate up to eight individuals which ensures the best possible learning experience is provided.

Learning objectives

By the end of this course, attendees should understand the capabilities of Flood Modeller and know how to utilise the software to develop basic flood models. The course will provide an overview of the key features, streamlined workflows and user-friendly interface within the software. On completion, attendees will be able to build, run and review their own models and generate data in multiple formats (e.g. maps and animations).

Course prerequisites

The course assumes no prior knowledge of flood modelling and is presented from a practical point of view by expert modellers. It is applicable to users of both Flood Modeller Pro and Flood Modeller Free.

Comprehensive course notes, practical exercises and additional support material is provided to everybody that attends the course.

Specialist training laptops and software are provided to each attendee allowing you to undertake the training effectively.

The course starts at 09:30 and finishes at 17:00 on both days.

Lunch and refreshments are provided throughout the course.
