The flood risk management industry is set for a revolutionary change with the launch of Flood Modeller 5. This next-generation software introduces a wide range of new features and capabilities that will transform the way you undertake flood risk modelling.

Accurately Model Surface and Sub-Surface Flows

Available now, Flood Modeller 5 includes the powerful new 1D urban solver, enabling users to quickly and efficiently perform integrated catchment modelling by combining surface and sub-surface flow in a single model. This solver, along with the existing 1D river and 2D solvers, provides a comprehensive suite of tools for all your modelling needs. By simply loading an existing EPA SWMM model into Flood Modeller, users can save time on data import and conversion, making it a cost-effective solution that eliminates the need for third-party software.

Flood Modeller 5 also introduces new 2D modelling capabilities, allowing users to embed 1D structures directly within their 2D domain, simplifying the model build process. The new automation wizard can automatically add units like culverts, orifices, and weirs to the 2D domain, eliminating the need for a full 1D river network.

Key Features and Enhancements

Simply Build, Run, and Visualise Urban Drainage Models:

Flood Modeller 5’s user-friendly interface allows users to build, run, and visualise models up to 10 times faster.

Reduce Simulation Runtimes:

The new 2D GPU solver significantly cuts down on simulation times.

Latest Hydrological Techniques:

Incorporates the latest ReFH2.3 and FSU hydrological methods.

Faster and More Flexible Plotting:

Enhanced plotting tools for better data visualization.

Streamlined License Management:

New features to simplify license management and improve user experience.

Additionally, Flood Modeller 5 offers improved error messaging, more diagnostic tools, and enhanced guidance and documentation, enabling users to solve modelling problems independently and more efficiently. Our online resources and dedicated support team remain available to assist with any modelling questions.

With over 30 other product enhancements aimed at delivering workflow efficiencies, Flood Modeller 5 is poised to set a new standard in flood risk management. For a detailed list of enhancements, view the release notes.

Flood Modeller 5 is not just an update; it’s a transformational leap forward in flood risk management.
