Call for abstracts
We are excited to invite abstracts for the 2026 event, offering two types of presentation opportunities: Full Presentations and Poster Presentations.
Full Presentations
Full Presentations will be 20 minutes, followed by a 10‑minute Q&A session. This format is ideal for sharing in‑depth project work, innovative methodologies, advanced modelling techniques, and real‑world applications.
Poster Presentations
Poster Presentations will consist of a 5‑minute presentation delivered using a single slide, followed by informal Q&A. This accessible format is perfect for those who are newer to presenting or looking to build confidence in a supportive and relaxed environment.
To Help Guide Your Submission
We invite abstracts from practitioners, researchers, and organisations working with Flood Modeller, Flood Platform, or tools and datasets that integrate with or support these products. Submissions should focus on real-world use, workflows, innovations, or insights that advance modelling practice across the Flood Modeller and Flood Platform ecosystem.
We particularly welcome contributions on:
-
Case studies using Flood Modeller or Flood Platform
Real‑world applications, project delivery, decision support, operational forecasting, or integrated workflows. -
Lessons learned
Insights from technical challenges, model build processes, calibration and validation, post processing, deployment into operational systems, or platform-based delivery. -
Innovative approaches within the Flood Modeller / Flood Platform environment
Novel methods that improve hydrodynamic, water quality or sediment modelling, real-time forecasting, catchment-scale analysis, scenario testing, or cross‑tool integration. -
Technology and tools that connect with Flood Modeller or Flood Platform
Including cloud workflows, APIs, real-time systems, GIS platforms, third‑party modelling software, automation frameworks, and digital twin applications. -
Data processing and data management workflows
Efficient model build processes, data pipelines, version control, collaborative working, or reproducibility across Flood Modeller and Flood Platform. -
Data collection relevant to modellers
Field surveys, LiDAR, remote sensing, telemetry, IoT sensors, monitoring networks, or datasets used to inform, calibrate, or validate models. -
AI, machine learning, and automation
Applications that accelerate model build, enhance forecasting skill, support QA/QC, enable automated workflows, or enrich the Flood Modeller or Flood Platform ecosystem. -
Data science and analytical techniques
Approaches that extract insights from model outputs, support uncertainty or sensitivity analysis, enable optimisation, or improve platform‑driven decision support.
If your presentation is accepted, you will be eligible to register as a speaker and receive a 50% discount on your conference ticket.
Whether you’re showcasing cutting‑edge research, demonstrating practical project outcomes, or exploring new ways to apply Flood Modeller, we encourage you to submit an abstract and contribute to shaping this year’s programme.
