Five reasons to upgrade to a cloud licence

As technology has evolved and hybrid working has become the norm, Flood Modeller is now deployed using our cloud-based licensing as standard. This method of licensing provides users with greater flexibility and a wide range of additional benefits, whilst removing the barriers of physical dongles.

If you're currently using a physical dongle for Flood Modeller, you are able to upgrade to a cloud licence and benefit too!

1. Work from anywhere

Cloud licences are perfect for users that are based in different offices or for those who work from home or on site regularly, as they provide instant access to Flood Modeller remotely, from anywhere in the world. Licence usage is optimised with the physical barrier (dongle/machine) removed.

2. Access to Hydrology+

Hydrology+ is only available to users with a cloud licence. It covers all stages of hydrological analysis, including data collection and visualisation, catchment schematisation, WINFAP and ReFH2 analysis, reconciliation of methods, application of hydrology and reporting.

3. Deploy virtual machines

With more and more data to manage and larger, more detailed models being built, we're seeing more and more organisations move to high-performance virtual machines. Our cloud-based licensing can be seamlessly deployed to virtual machines, unlike physical dongles.

4. Reduced administration

The administrative burden is completely removed, allowing you to easily upgrade to the latest version of the software or access a new feature or licence. Updates are managed and applied by us allowing users across your organisation to access the software instantly.

5. Greater resilience

Cloud-based licensing provides greater resilience across your organisation as you are able to deploy your Flood Modeller licence(s) across two separate servers, without having to split your licence portfolio in half. This means if one of your servers was to go offline or was scheduled to be updated, you would still be able to access 100% of your licences without any impact at all.
