Description

10th July 2024

Flooding from extreme rainfall poses an increasing risk to communities and infrastructure, with over 3.5 million properties at surface water flood risk in England alone. 2D models are a valuable tool to assess risk and plan mitigation schemes.

Calculating and applying appropriate rainfall is a critical consideration in 2D modelling, ensuring accurate representation of inflow conditions, guide model development, and lead to reliable hydraulic modelling results.

What does it mean in practice?

In this webinar, Adam Parkes, Technical Director and Senior Hydrologist at Jacobs, demonstrates the extensive range of options available in Flood Modeller to estimate extreme rainfall, apply this seamlessly to your model and visualise results. Adam will also highlight how Hydrology+ allows the calculation of design rainfall using the last rainfall model (FEH22) and ReFH2.4.
