Welcome to the first instalment in our free online training series, Flood Modelling 101.
Flood modelling begins with sound hydrology, and mastering that process is key to building accurate, defensible simulations. In this interactive session, Cristina Agafon-Danila, Senior Hydrologist and Hydraulic Modeller at Jacobs and Customer Success Lead for Flood Modeller, walks you through a modern approach to hydrological analysis using the powerful Hydrology+ module within Flood Modeller.
Cristina explores UK-standard flood estimation techniques, including the FEH methodology, and shows how Hydrology+ integrates seamlessly with tools like ReFH2 and WINFAP to deliver consistent, high-quality results.
She demonstrates how Hydrology+ simplifies the creation of flow estimation points for both gauged and ungauged catchments, automates the generation of calibration files at specific gauge locations, and enables rapid hydrological assessments to support 1D and 2D hydraulic modelling.
