Course introduction

This one-day training course is aimed at those involved in the development and review of hydraulic models and focuses primarily on model diagnostics and debugging, advanced structures and Flood Modeller automation tools.

By the end of the course, you will understand several initialisation and runtime errors that occur using Flood Modeller and how to fix these. You will be able to use a variety of model review tools available within Flood Modeller's interface which help identify problematic areas of a model.

You will gain experience in using Flood Modeller's automation tools, including the Damage Calculator. Alongside this, the course will also provide a detailed insight into 1D structures including bridges and culverts.

Course prerequisites

The course assumes a good understanding of 1D modelling and Flood Modeller.

Comprehensive course notes, practical exercises and additional support material is provided to everybody that attends the course.

The training course is presented from a practical point of view by expert modellers and is delivered through a series of presentations, hands-on practicals and open discussion sessions.

Specialist training laptops and software are provided to each attendee allowing you to undertake the training effectively.

Lunch and refreshments are provided throughout the course.

The course starts at 09:30 and finishes at 17:00.
