Attend our two-day training course to gain a clear overview of the 1D modelling techniques available within Flood Modeller. It will allow you to familiarise yourself with the various tools and features available within the software, allowing you to build and run your own model. Delivered by an expert modeller, the training is provided through a series of presentations, hands-on practicals and open discussion sessions. Each session is limited to 8 attendees to give the best possible learning experience.
By the end of this course, you will understand the capabilities of Flood Modeller and when to apply it to different types of application. The course will provide an overview of the key features, streamlined workflows and user-friendly interface within the software. On completion, you will be able to build, run and review you own 1D model and generate data in multiple formats (e.g. maps and animations).

An overview of Flood Modeller
Components of a Flood Modeller project
How to build and run 1D flood models
1D floodplain modelling
Using model results to share outputs
Undertaking unsteady simulations
How to incorporate river structures
Quality assurance and housekeeping
The course assumes no prior knowledge of flood modelling and is presented from a practical point of view by expert modellers.
Comprehensive course notes, practical exercises and additional support material is provided to everybody that attends the course.
Specialist training laptops and software are provided to each attendee allowing you to undertake the training effectively.
Lunch and refreshments are provided throughout the course. The course starts at 09:30 and finishes at 17:00.
This course is approved by the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management and attendance will contribute toward your continuing professional development (CPD).
