Flood Modeller 5.0, coming in October 2020, brings new urban drainage modelling capabilities, enabling integrated catchment modelling within a single software solution. The GIS user interface has been rebuilt and now loads large 2D datasets 10 times faster than before. The upcoming release also incorporates new 2D modelling capabilities that enable you to automatically embed 1D structures directly within your 2D domain.
The new 1D urban solver allows you to accurately model the drainage system to obtain a detailed and integrated understanding of flood risk in urban areas, directly within Flood Modeller's powerful user interface. Use Flood Modeller's 1D river solver to model channels and river networks or its 2D solver to model surface water flow whilst linking to the 1D urban solver to model the interaction with and the impact on the drainage network.
The new 2D modelling capabilities enable you to embed 1D structures directly within your 2D domain, simplifying your model build. If you need to model flow through a culvert, orifice or weir, and don't require a full 1D river network, the new automation wizard will automatically add these units to your 2D domain.
Over 30 other enhancements have been included within Flood Modeller 5.0 - all aimed at improving your understanding of flood risk, saving you time through workflow efficiencies and automation, and delivering greater flexibility, faster results and different output options.
With two editions of Flood Modeller to choose from, and multiple licensing options available, you can select the most appropriate and cost-effective solution for your organisation.
