With many of us working from home, we wanted to remind you that the Free edition of Flood Modeller continues to be available and can be downloaded from our website.
Using the Free edition means you don’t tie up a paid-for licence. It also provides lots of opportunities, some of which have been detailed below:
It’s easy to install and deploy to multiple machines – it doesn’t require hardware locks to work and can be installed on as many machines as you require. This includes machines provided by your employer as well as personal computers, in case you’re currently working away from the office.
It’s perfect for site specific assessments - it provides users with access to 100,000 1D nodes and 100,000 2D cells, at no cost. If you’re an existing Standard or Professional edition user, consider whether you need a paid-for version for your current project.
It provides direct access to Flood Cloud – it provides unlimited software licences and computing resources in the cloud. If you have models to run, but are struggling to remotely access licences, try Flood Cloud. You can save 25%, up until 30 June 2020, when purchasing our 10,000-credit package.
It’s an excellent tool for learning and development - become familiar with Flood Modeller’s user interface, work through our getting start guides using the sample data included as part of the installation, and catch up on our wide-range of on-demand webinars.
It provides a range of powerful visualisation tools – analyse your 1D and 2D models more effectively. If you’ve been sent a model to analyse, but don’t have a licence, you can display flood extents within Google Earth, animate flood mapping data or visualise cross-sections data.
Users who require greater functionality can seamlessly upgrade to the Standard or Professional editions of Flood Modeller as and when required. Contact us for further information – you can save 25%, up until 30 June 2020, when renting the software on a short-term basis.
