It’s official, Flood Modeller 7.3 has landed and there are plenty of new features and enhancements to be excited about! For a detailed overview of what's new, view the release notes.
We’ve dived into the integrated bridge unit, simulation builder and report builder in our previous articles so please take a look at these if you would like more in depth information on each feature individually.
Here is a brief overview of each key feature...
Key features in Flood Modeller 7.3
Faster and More Intuitive Bridge Modelling
Bridges are complex structures that can significantly impact flood risk and they comprise multiple components, including decks, openings and relief culverts. The new integrated bridge unit unifies all hydraulic components into a single unit, streamlining structure setup in Flood Modeller with fewer clicks and better integration.
Error-Suppressing Simulations
Until now, each Hydrology+ simulation needed to be defined individually by creating a separate 1D river simulation. The Simulation Builder in Flood Modeller 7.3 has been considerably enhanced to enable you to create all your simulations in a single, quick and efficient process.
Automated Report Building
Report Builder has been introduced to Flood Modeller 7.3, a tool which extracts key model data from your project and can be inserted directly into reports, saving significant time and improving quality. It has been introduced at first into Hydrology+, providing the outputs needed to populate hydrology reports in a clear and consistent way.
