After a careful process, which started back in 2015, the Environment Agency (England) has completed their migration to Flood Modeller Pro, CH2M’s next generation flood modelling software.

As part of this process, a range of 1D and 2D training courses using Flood Modeller Pro have been delivered across each of the Environment Agency regions. The software has also undergone rigorous testing and was rolled out across their central modelling platform in February, allowing the software to be applied to projects nationally.

Not only will the Environment Agency benefit from access to our industry-leading 1D and 2D solvers in the new user-friendly interface, the software will deliver an even more intuitive environment for building, running, and analysing flood models.

The Environment Agency has been users of CH2M’s river and floodplain modelling, and real-time flood forecasting software for over 20 years, utilising it within their National Flood Forecasting Service and regional flood modelling projects.

Richard Crowder, Director for Flood Modeller Suite at CH2M commented “Flood Modeller Pro provides the Environment Agency, and our other users across the globe, with an industry-leading fully-integrated 1D-2D flood modelling solution. CH2M’s flood modelling software, will aid the Environment Agency in achieving significant efficiencies and cost savings in the delivery of their projects which increase the resilience of people, property and businesses to the risks of flooding.”
