Hello, I am looking at a model that has a roughness of n = 0 for the right part of the flood plain (beyond the last panel). What is the effect of this? Someone told me this implies zero conveyance, however the results view shows water goes there (unlike the ineffective flow area in HEC-RAS). Thanks. F

From ISIS Help file (River Section > General) "If `dead' flood plain storage (ie no conveyance) is to be used a Manning's `n' value of zero should be entered for the relevant panels. A first order modelling of flood plain flow is also incorporated, by modifying the storage width and conveyance terms. This is activated by entering non-zero values of `n' over the flood plain areas."
