I am currently developing a real time flood forecast model. It would be useful to be able to update levels using telemetered level data in online storage areas (as can already be done for flows).

Does anyone else agree this would be a useful ISIS development?

Updating on reservoir levels has been implemented in v3.4. (Doesn't matter if they're on-line or off-line - for updating purposes, ISIS just knows a reservoir is a reservoir).

I think that further development of the updating options are desirable though I would have thought that setting up a way to update offline storage was needed more than online.
I believe research is going on to acquire flood extents remotely from satellite for use in model updating - more relevant for large rivers only perhaps but something to prepare for.

I think any way to update the the forecast level in storage areas would be a great improvement. Get this to work with delft FEWS and there will be a huge step forward in flood forecasting!
