I have been trying to do a pluvial analysis using a 2D surface, setting up an active area and apply a global depth of rainfall to run the simulation using the FAST solver. I have the latest version 4.3 on my PC and no matter what I do I can't get it to generate a result file. My colleague who has version 4.0 uses the same process as me and can generate the results no problem. I don't really want to install the older version just for this simple exercise. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to get it to work in version 4.3?

Flood Modeller Support

In Flood Modeller v4.3 the interface for setting up new 2D models was updated and this included a change to the way simulation start and end times are defined. Unfortunately after the release we realised that the FAST solver engine was not updated appropriately to recognise this change, so FAST simulations defined by the v4.3 2D interface are unlikley to work. Existing 2D FAST simulations can be re-run in v4.3, as long as no additional changes are made and saved using the new interface.

However, defining a new FAST simulation in the way you describe, but using v4.2 should work (I just tested it to make sure and the model setup and ran fine). So this issue should be isolated to v4.3 only.

I can only apologise for the current inconvience caused by this. We are planning to issue a revision of the software before year end and this will be one of the issues addressed by this release.
